Rural Design | Site work commences at Ice House, Portree

Work to convert the historic ice house on Portree’s busy harbour front into a one-bedroom dwelling has started. The contract has been awarded to Spey Building & Joinery Limited, a firm with an established sensitivity to rural construction. The building is believed to date from the eighteenth century and is the second ice house to be brought back to life as a dwelling by Rural Design.
